Featured oil:
Nard or Spikenard

3 When He was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper; He was at table when a woman came in with an alabaster jar of perfumed oil, costly genuine spikenard. She broke the jar and poured the ointment on his head. Mark 14

3Mary took a liter of costly perfumed oil made from genuine aromatic nard and anointed the feet of Jesus and dried them with her hair; the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.
Jn 12

It is a wonder that this oil, which was used in preparation for the Lord’s Passion and Death, is now available for our own anointing.
My own impressions on Spikenard are that the top notes are a little strange and intriguing, and quite strong.  It is distilled from a root, therefore the scent is woody and musky.
The body of the fragrance is rich and deep, very masculine.

The lingering perfume has just a little hint of sweetness that is so delicious and heavenly.  It can last for days on your skin.

Biblical notes:
Mary, who anoints our Lord's feet in this passage, is Saint Mary of Bethany.  She is the sister of Lazarus and Martha, and they are known to be the best friends of Jesus.
The anointing being done here is in anticipation of our Lord's Suffering, and it takes place six days before the Passover.  This is different from the anointing by the unidentified sinful woman in Lk 7:38, who washed His feet with her tears.
Church tradition has it that the family of Lazarus, in order to escape persecution after Jesus' Ascension, settled in the South of France.
Spikenard is best used diluted with fractionated coconut oil on the soles of your feet.  It is excellent for cell regeneration.   Diffusing will transport the oil straight to your nervous system.
