Lavender Butter DIY

I was craving baked goods this morning. However, since moving to our remote property in the Okanogan Highlands, I can't just drive out to the
Breakfast: Croissant with lavender butter and mangoes
bakery for a box of goodies. Since I already have croissants,  I decided to make lavender honey butter. DIY lavender honey butter was was one of the pins I pinned to my boards yesterday. It's super easy to make. You may already have the ingredients on hand in your kitchen.

Ingredients
1 stick of softened butter
1 drop of lavender essential oil
1/2 tsp vanilla
2-3 tablespoons honey

Mash softened butter in a small bowl. Add lavender, vanilla and honey. Voila! You have butter with a "sophisticated" taste that you can serve to your guests. Spread on homemade bread, scones or biscuits.

Note: I used homemade dark honey with a  rich sweet taste. So I only used 2 teaspoons. This recipe is easily modified to your liking.

The original pin that is pasted below
will also direct you to the DōTERRA blog which was the source of the recipe.

Have you made any treats using lavender essential oil? Do share!
