My First Essential Oils Shipment

Yaaay, so happy that my first order of essential oils have arrived. I ordered white fir, lavender, eucalyptus, marjoram, and black pepper essential oils. I also ordered fractionated coconut oil. I opened the 5 ml bottle of lavender first. Heaven! I love the calming feelings lavender essential oil gives me! My diffuser is due to arrive next week. For now, I just put a tiny amount directly on the tip of my nose. Lavender essential oil is one of the oils that may be applied NEAT, no dilution needed.

At bedtime, I placed a drop on my pillow case to combat my occasional sleeplessness. Don't you hate waking up in the morning and feeling like a zombie as if the restorative powers of sleep didn't work at all? I woke up in disbelief at 6:30 am. I had a full night's sleep without waking a 1-3 times in the middle of the night like I usually Copyright: perszing1982 / 123RF Stock Photo

I'm going to use the lavender essential oil again the in the next few nights and keep you posted on the results.

Since I woke up feeling invigorated, I immediately went outside and started one of my chores in our off-grid home. I shoveled snow. I also had to prepare "paths or trails" for my little dogs. Our snow level is taller than my chiweenie and dachshund!
Warm Soy Milk With Lavender Essential Oil
After that, I had my first cup of hot beverage. It wasn't the "usual Keurig coffee pod" this morning. I warmed up some soy milk. I dipped a toothpick directly onto the bottle of lavender essential oil and swirled it onto my warm soy milk. Again....nirvana! Contact me by clicking the top right gadget for this very simple recipe. It reminded me of a small ice cream parlor in Seattle that serves their very own lavender ice cream. I believe they purchase their lavender from Sequim, WA whose growers offer farm tours

I'll write about my experience with the other essential oils next! Would you care to share your experience?
